24. Watch, my friends, the objects that appear.
All are unoriginate, all equal in their emptiness—
Just as various things reflected in a glass
Are one and all the same, the mirror’s single sheen.

25. Watch the consciousness discerning these appearances.
The mind is like the sky, beyond assertion and negation.
And just as in the sky the clouds take shape and then dissolve,
With no change to the sky, which stays forever pure,
The nature of the mind is likewise always pure;
It is primordially enlightened,
Uncreated, naturally present, ultimate reality.

(Note: In this text the SUBJECT is the awakened-mind / primordial-awareness / Ground / Suchness / the true nature of Reality as it is / the Union of the Two Truths.
The OBJECT are all appearances, as spontaneous natural manifestations of the Ground.
Genuine-emptiness free from all extremes & middle is simply the inconceivable Union of the Two Truths / Suchness / Ground.
So, all manifestations are presented as equal / one / non-dual / pure / perfect / divine -- in the non-dual sense of those terms -- 1) because their unique true nature & dynamic is like an inconceivable Union of being dependently co-arisen <==> and empty of inherent existence, 2) because they are like spontaneous natural manifestations of the unique pristine Ground / primordial-awareness / Suchness / Union of the Two Truths. So there is nothing to accept and nothing to reject.
So the Ground / ultimate and its manifestations / conventional / relative are presented as co-emergent, inseparable, in Union.)

Therein, adopting and rejecting are not two.

is like an ineffable / inconceivable Union of being 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼-𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗻 / 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 relatively functional ever-changing impermanent appearances [T1 - first truth], co-dependent with their parts (when applicable), with their causes & conditions (when applicable), their conceptual opposite(s) (always), and especially co-dependent with the mind merely labelling / imputing / conceptualising / classifying them [U3S] in dependence of its past / conditioning / karma, not completely non-dependently-arising / non-existent / non-changing / non-functional / non-ceasing / useless / meaningless
<==> and being 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 [T2 - second truth], never fixed / independent / separate / universal / absolute, but more like open / free, like illusions / dreams / reflections / rainbows / like the displays of a magical show or cosmic dance of luminosity, not really dependently-arisen / existent / changing / functional / ceasing.
One aspect / truth implies the other (<==>) [U2T], one aspect / truth proves the other (<==>).

All dharmas are appearing <==> but still empty; empty of inherent existence <==> but still conventionally dependently co-appearing & relatively functional. And that is not grasping at the conventional / relative, or at the ultimate / emptiness, or both together, or neither.
[TETRALEMMA:] All dharmas are 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝘆) <==> 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴), not both existent & non-existent together, not neither existent nor non-existent, and there is no fifth. This is another way to express the inconceivable Union of the Two Truths [U2T].

KYE HO my friends, look at apparent objects.
They are all the 𝘂𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗻. They are empty and 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹.
Even though various images rise within a MIRROR,
The surface of that mirror is really only one,

If we look at the mind that has projected this,
Mind is 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 from any affirming or denying.
Just as clouds in the SKY arise and disappear,
The non-dual miracles of space are 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.
This is the spotless nature that is the primordial buddha.
This is uncreated self-existing dharmata [Ground].

There is neither object [manifestations] or primordial purity [Ground].
There is no receiving and there is no letting go,
No bias or partiality, no negation or affirmation.
What appears has no true existence;
What rises [T1] is emptiness [T2] [U2T].
All is equality, free from all reference points [𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲].

Objects are uncertain, appearing in various ways.
In the great impartiality, mind has no reference points.
So the nature of mahasandhi should be known.

Within the world of dharmas of samsara and nirvana,
The dharmas of the past are equality without concept.
The dharmas of the future are unborn 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
The dharmas of the present are non-dwelling 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.
The three times are timeless as 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 with no ground.
All there is was always eternally 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲.

The phenomenal world that consists of samsara and nirvana
Is nothing but an image reflected in the mind [Ground / mirror].
The nature of that mind is the great space of dharmadhatu [Ground / U2T].
The nature of that space is changeless throughout the three times.
That changeless nature was nirvana from the start.
This fundamental enlightenment is 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙧𝙖.

This brings us to the tantric idea of primordial purity, or "alpha purity." Alpha in Greek means "first" and "pure". Alpha purity in Tibetan is ka dag; this means that the MIND-AS-SUCH [GROUND / U2T] has never (that is, originally) been polluted, and also that the eternally perfect [GENUINE-]EMPTINESS [GROUND / U2T] has never (that is, originally) been polluted. Both the phenomenal world and the subject related to the phenomenal world were 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲. Only our conceptual paraphernalia, as well as imprints and inclinations, prevent us from recognizing this fact.

As you can see, the concept of primordial 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 actually brings us to the idea of 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺. As long as the subject has never been touched by his own delusions, emotional instability and neurosis, the idea of limitation or imprisonment in the dungeon of samsara is completely inapplicable here. Imprisonment exists only at the level of the unenlightened state. In a fundamental sense, this idea is unacceptable, because the MIND-AS-SUCH [GROUND / U2T] has never been limited. OUR FUNDAMENTAL NATURE [GROUND / U2T] has never been imprisoned in samsara. She is eternally free.

As soon as the practitioner realizes that he or she 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, the mundane experiences of conceptual paraphernalia, delusions and the like "self-liberate." It is a technical Tantric term that sounds like rang drol in Tibetan. When we become aware of rang drol, we no longer even need to cast aside our delusions, neuroses, or emotional instabilities. They self-liberate by themselves. Nothing needs to be done about them. As soon as we begin to see clearly in relation to our nature and the nature of the phenomenal world, all obscurations are self-liberated - they become rang drol.

Mahamudra adepts argued that consciousness is like an OCEAN. At its deepest, it has always been motionless, but on the surface it is violently agitated by gusts of wind.
Likewise, MIND-AS-SUCH [GROUND / U2T] has never been touched by the wind.
Although our daily conscious experiences sway in the wind of change, our basic nature is never affected by it.

Another image they use is the SKY and clouds. Clouds come and go, but they never affect the nature of the sky. The sky was always clear and clear.
Likewise, our defilements have never touched the MIND-AS-SUCH [GROUND / U2T] and eternally perfect [GENUINE-]EMPTINESS [GROUND / U2T].
There has never been any imperfection.
In fact, it can be argued that the MIND-AS-SUCH [GROUND / U2T] and the eternally perfect [GENUINE-]EMPTINESS [GROUND / U2T] have never been influenced by either perfection or imperfection.
This is why we speak of 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. and this is also the terminology of the tantrikas.
It has never been influenced by anything external to it.
