Logic of Creativity - 114

The Logic of Creativity

'Creation is something that is timeless, that has no tomorrow and yesterday; it is living timelessly. And you come to it very naturally, if you understand this whole problem of existence. So a religious mind is all these things, and then it knows, or rather it is in, a state which is creative from moment to moment. It is always acting from that extraordinary sense of emptiness. I do not know if you have ever noticed how a drum is always empty. When you strike on it, it gives the right tone; but it is empty. Our minds are never empty—they are always full. Therefore, our action is always from this dreadful noise of thought, of memory, of despair; and, therefore, action is always contradictory, leading to great misery. But a mind that is completely empty—empty in the sense of observation, silence, and therefore, love and the whole understanding of death—such a mind is creative. And a creative mind is empty all the time; it acts from that emptiness, it speaks from that emptiness. And therefore, it will always be true, it will never bring about a deception within itself.'

=======================

“Within our own buddha nature we naturally have all the qualities of nirvana (ex. COMPASSION, CREATIVITY, INNOVATION, EFFICIENCE ...), so we do not need to look for them and take possession of them outside. Neither do we need to get rid of anything, because the obscurations that are temporarily veiling our realization of the absolute nature are not inherent to that absolute nature. So with this third wisdom, doubts are completely absent: there is no wondering, “Will I be able to achieve all those qualities?” or “Will I succeed in getting rid of all these defects?” ”

Purification

It is not possible to be enlightened

while still having obscurations and negative karma.

They need to be interrupted and purified,

and that is why one does the purification practices

and apologises for any negative deeds one has done.

.

There is also another way to thoroughly and perpetually

bring an end to negative karma and obscuration.

The moment of recognizing mind essence totally

interrupts the karma and obscurations, for that moment.

.

It purifies the negative karma

that has been continued from the past

and it interrupt any creation henceforth.

As long as this recognition last,

karma and obscurations are completely ended.

.

Complete stability in the recognition of empty cognizance,

therefore, involves the total elimination

of all obscurations and negative karma."

💖 In short creativity is being free from conventionalities / conditioning / karma (individual, collective ...). It happens after enlightenment, after directly realising the true nature & dynamic of the conditioning cycle. It also happens, on a smaller scale, when the mind is temporarily abiding in its true nature without any egotism, grasping, attachment ... when it is fully present here & now ... temporarily free from all of its conditioning / karma.
